Durante o primeiro dia do XI Encontro Internacional de Estudos Políticos (organizado pelo IEP). Marc Plattner apresentou um interessante paper sobre Sovereignity and Democracy.
Ultima frase do paper (referindo-se ao corrente debate em torno da Constituição Europeia): "Certainly, I know that if neo-Nazis or other alien-haters were to target me, I would vastly prefer to entrust my rights and my fate to the protections offered by a consitutional democratic state that combines law with force than to a transnational architecture of any sort".
